MIT's Application Issues

MIT is a customer that doesn't use our services as most other clients do. Instead of using use to track employees and jobs, they use it to help them track Background checks. Because of this, all of their issues revolve around fixing Applications that don't submit. Usually, it's things like an unfiled text box in work history or an incomplete Driver's license number. These are all fixable issues that take no time to fix with the right tools. To fix all problems discussed you will need the master password, the applicant's email, and the "allow applicant to edit box" checked in ApplicantOne. Lastly, if you try to force the application on the career page, it will take you to the problem area in the application, or if you try to force it through ApplicantOne it will give you an error message telling you what's wrong.

Work History

The most common issue is unfiled boxes in the "Work History" section. The text boxes with arrows below need to be filed for the application to be considered finished, even if they say they didn't have a prior work history. If the applicant forgot to fill something in or doesn't have data to fill the necessary boxes. fill it in with either the correct data or N/A. For the date field, if there is no end or beginning date just set it for the current day.  If the Applicant doesn't have a work history, you will need to set it to "I DO have a work history and will enter below" and then fill in the necessary info with N/A. Try to submit the application then switch it back to "I DO NOT have previous work history" and submit it.

Drivers License

The other issue that you will run into is applicants won't put their entire Drivers license number in the text box. To confirm this is the issue with the application, you will need to look up the state's driver's license. Next, count out the characters (including letters) for the number and compare it to the number listed on the application. Usually, they just miss the letter at the start, or add a space. Lastly, let the customer know about the issue. Sometimes they will give you the DL# to fix and submit or they will let the applicant know and they will fix it.

Conclusion

Hopefully, these tips help and make working on tickets just a bit smoother!
